The first historical account about the Springs dates back to 400 B.C. and proves that it was already known by the Romans. They dedicated the springs to Venus, marking the connection between the goddess and the vital element of water. Today, a sculpture stands among the water streams to witness this peculiar symbolism. Acqua Filette, one of the Italy’s purest waters has an astonishing low level of mineral contents. It originates from the source of Guarcino, at 900 meters above sea level on the green and uncontaminated Apennine Mountains in the Lazio Region. The town of Guarcino is located between Monti Cantari and Monti Ernici, not far from the towns of Fiuggi and Alatri. Behind it you can see Mount Campocatino.
